Pharmacy First for common infections

This pharmacy provides Pharmacy First services for 7 common conditions (listed below) so that you can choose a consultation in private with one of our pharmacists without needing an appointment. 

This service has been introduced to support patient access to primary care services. The pharmacists have been trained in the management of these conditions and will asess you, advise and treat. This may involve a prescription for antibiotics when appropriate. Your GP will be notified of the outcome but you would not normally need to contact your GP practice. If the pharmacist was concerned you had a more serious condition, you would be referred directly to your GP.

The pharmacist can only provide this service to those in the following age ranges and there are certain exclusion for those will serious underlying health conditions (the pharmacist would advise GP referral)
